Job summary

PremiStar is seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and service heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and hydronic components. You will test data, analyze performance, and provide recommendations to customers to optimize system reliability.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing pumps and controls, reading blueprints, balancing systems, and coordinating with repair teams.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of HVAC level operation, maintenance & repair experience.
Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and clean criminal background.

Responsibilities

Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot equipment to ensure safe operation and lifecycle performance.
Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc.
Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications or to locate malfunctions.
Discuss heating-cooling system malfunctions with customers to verify corrections.
Record and report faults, deficiencies, and time/materials on work orders.
Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers.
Assemble, position and mount heating or cooling equipment following blueprints.
Assist with other work in coordination with repair and maintenance teams.
