Job summary

PremiStar is seeking an HVAC Apprentice to assist with installing and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and boiler systems. You will work with HVAC Service Technicians on service and installation jobs, test equipment, mount components, diagnose issues, adjust refrigerant, and wire controls.

This union position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and enrollment in an Apprenticeship program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Enrollment in an HVAC apprenticeship program is required.
• Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
• Experience using hand and power tools is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, conducting diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant, and wiring controls.
• Collaborate with HVAC Service Technicians to run service and installation jobs.
• Assist in replacing, repairing and installing HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Power wash HVAC equipment units.
• Run performance maintenance calls.
