Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. seeks a Journeyman HVAC Technician to install and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including boilers, pumps, chillers, and hydronic equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing faults, performing routine repairs, testing systems for safety and efficiency, and coordinating with teams to ensure compliant operation. A high school diploma and 5 years of HVAC experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of HVAC operation, maintenance & repair experience.
• HVAC knowledge including repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques, and familiarity with electrical circuits.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics and perform math.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot the condition of operating HVAC equipment to ensure safe operation and life cycle performance.
• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, and related components.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and detect malfunctions.
• Determine customer concerns with current HVAC systems and provide solutions.
• Record and report faults, deficiencies, and work performed on orders.
• Install thermostats, humidistats, and related controls; balance system as recommended by manufacturers.
• Assist with other repair and maintenance tasks in coordination with teams.
• Generate and process work orders addressing deficiencies.
