PremiStar in Peoria, IL is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. You will work with boilers, pumps, chillers, and hydronic equipment, performing tests and data analysis to ensure proper operation and advising customers on improvements.

Located at our Peoria facility, the role requires a high school diploma and 5 years HVAC experience, strong troubleshooting, blueprint literacy, and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of HVAC operation, maintenance & repair experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC repairs, maintenance, installation techniques, electrical circuits and local codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, schematics and written references.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to ensure safe operation and lifecycle performance.
• Perform routine repairs to pumps, seals, bearings, etc.
• Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications or locate malfunctions.
• Discuss heating-cooling system issues with customers to identify and verify problems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Record and report faults and time/materials on work orders.
• Install/components such as valves, ducts, pipes, and thermostats; connect to power and refrigerant sources.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and system balancing.
