Job summary

UG2 in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Licensed HVAC Technician to maintain and optimize a state‑of‑the‑art life science campus. You will inspect, service, and repair mechanical and electrical HVAC equipment, participate in system design discussions, and support a growing team with safety and reliability.

A sign‑on bonus may accompany this role. Ideal candidates hold a MA refrigeration license, Universal CFC, OSHA 10, and 3–5 years of related experience in MEP environments, with the ability to work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with large tonnage HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to change refrigeration compressors, service cooling towers, rebuild or replace large centrifugal pumps, service & repair VAV boxes, troubleshoot and repair energy management controls and programming.
• Must have deep understanding in the use of the building management system.
• MA refrigeration license is required.
• OSHA 10 and related licenses are preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Share knowledge and best practices with maintenance team members.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and trend facilities systems and status through the building management system.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to identify problems and perform repairs.
• Perform pump rebuilds and replacements to ensure HVAC and building system operation.
• Inspect, adjust, modify, and repair boilers, heating, cooling, and auxiliary equipment.
• Respond promptly to service calls and building infrastructure maintenance requests, focusing on HVAC systems.
