Job summary

Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort and Villas in California is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our engineering team. The Tech III will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair systems across guest rooms, meeting spaces, kitchens, and back-of-house areas, using Windows-based maintenance software.

Requires EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred) required.
• Minimum of 5 years of building maintenance experience
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing)
• Experience with life-safety systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair systems in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems for maintenance tracking
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics (preferred)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and reliable, with the ability to cover shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Shift coverage across various maintenance areas, requiring a keen eye for detail and quick troubleshooting abilities
• Performing preventative maintenance on major equipment and systems, ensuring the longevity and efficiency of all resort facilities
• Utilizing Windows-based systems to manage and track maintenance activities
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to aid in system repairs and improvements
• Maintaining and troubleshooting life-safety systems, guaranteeing guest and team member safety at all times
