Job summary

Yuma County Ag is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to perform skilled maintenance and repairs across county facilities. The role includes installing, inspecting, and servicing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, reading gauges, calibrating controls, and coordinating with building operations.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and four years in the trade, EPA Universal 608, and a valid Arizona driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with 4 years’ HVAC experience.
• EPA Universal Certification 608 required for refrigerant handling.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and repair HVAC/R systems across County facilities.
• Read gauges, calibrate DCS, thermostats and sensors; inspect systems.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform routine maintenance, and respond to after-hours calls.
• Review work orders, order parts, and ensure safety standards are followed.
• Maintain documentation and cooperate with other departments.
