Job summary

JAX in Gainesville, FL is seeking an HVAC Technician II to support data centers and sensitive research facilities on a 24/7 basis. You will troubleshoot, calibrate and repair HVAC and process equipment, and lead small installations while coordinating with contractors.

You will mentor Technician I staff, document maintenance using CMMS, and participate in on-call emergencies. Some after-hours work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• HVAC degree or certificate, mechanical engineering technology or related technical field.
• Education: Vocational/Technical Degree; Associate's preferred.
• 3 years of experience required; 5 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, install and repair HVAC and related systems.
• Lead small-scale installations and commissioning.
• Manage contractors for preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Support project planning with contractors and engineers.
• Mentor Technician I staff and provide guidance.
