Job summary

Auraria Campus in downtown Denver is seeking an HVAC Technician II to operate, maintain, repair, install, and modify HVACR systems across classrooms, offices, labs, and facilities. You will work with building automation systems to ensure safe, efficient operation and participate in emergency response and snow removal as needed.

The role emphasizes independent troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with contractors, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional HVAC experience with repair, installation, and servicing of commercial equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Combines education, apprenticeship, or relevant experience to total at least 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and replace HVAC equipment and controls.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor and calibrate building automation and low-voltage systems.
