Job summary

Auraria Campus is seeking an HVAC Technician II to operate, maintain, repair, install, and modify HVAC equipment and building automation systems across its campus buildings. The role requires troubleshooting and diagnostic work to ensure safe and reliable campus operations.

The position supports emergency response activities and campus snow removal during active weather events and works within a collaborative HVAC Shop that operates without formal supervision.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional HVAC experience.
• Experience repairing, installing and servicing commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Must have a valid unencumbered driver's license.
• Background check may include motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, install, and modify HVAC systems and controls across campus buildings.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVACR equipment and document activities.
• Monitor and calibrate building automation and low-voltage control systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely work completion.
• Respond to emergency situations and assist with snow removal during weather events.
