Job summary

The Auraria Campus in downtown Denver is seeking an HVAC Technician II to operate, maintain, repair, install, and modify HVACR equipment and building automation systems across campus facilities. This role applies journey-level knowledge of pipe and mechanical trades to troubleshoot and correct system issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support BAS operations for safe, efficient buildings.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of professional HVAC experience demonstrating repair, installation, and service of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Knowledge of direct digital controls and building automation is desirable.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet background checks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment and controls.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor, calibrate, and troubleshoot BAS and low-voltage control systems.
• Estimate labor, materials, and costs for repairs or replacements.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of work.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with snow removal as needed.
