Job summary

The Auraria Campus in downtown Denver seeks an HVAC Technician II to maintain, repair, install, and modify HVACR systems across classrooms, offices, labs, and facilities. You will work with building automation systems to ensure safe, efficient operation.

Daily schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM. The role requires journey-level knowledge of mechanical trades, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and campus staff.

Qualifications

• Journey-level knowledge of pipe and mechanical trades.
• Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVACR equipment and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and diagnose HVAC equipment using direct digital controls.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on HVACR systems.
• Maintain and update BAS and low-voltage control systems.
• Assist with emergency responses and snow removal operations.
