The Building People is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to support operations at federal facilities in Alexandria, Virginia. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring operational readiness and compliance with government standards.

The HVAC Technician supports a secure federal facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) program by performing HVAC preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and service call response activities within a mission-critical facilities environment in Northern Virginia.
This position is responsible for supporting daily operations involving heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, BAS/DDC controls, chillers, boilers, CRAC units, cooling towers, pumps, air handlers, compressors, and associated mechanical infrastructure. The HVAC Technician supports operational readiness by responding to service calls, completing preventive maintenance activities, maintaining maintenance documentation, and supporting emergency response operations in accordance with contract requirements and Government standards.
The HVAC Technician works closely with site leadership, maintenance personnel, subcontractors, and Government representatives to support daily operations within a secure TS/SCI environment.
