Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across facilities in Leesburg, VA. The role covers RTUs, VAVs, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and code compliance.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, part ordering, and coordinating service with customers, under the Maintenance Manager. A valid license and driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Apprentice level experience in the heating and air conditioning trade.
• Ability to perform skilled HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and use information technology systems for work orders.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs of commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, VAVs, fan coils, and related components.
• Services and maintains air compressors, refrigerated air dryers, filtration components, and pressure regulators.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, orders replacement parts, and coordinates installation schedules with customers.
