Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a general maintenance worker to assist tradesmen across electric, HVAC, plumbing, and related systems. The role includes seasonal lawn and landscape tasks and some independent duties inside and outside school facilities.

Responsibilities cover routine maintenance, basic repairs, and light carpentry. A valid driver’s license is required, and the position reports to the Maintenance Manager with a 12-month, 254-day schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Graduation or GED required.
• Experience in general maintenance preferred.
• Current valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradesmen in maintaining electric, HVAC, plumbing and related fixtures and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as moving furniture, installing signs and fences, repairs to doors, floors and walls.
• Identify roof leaks and assist with basic carpentry and painting tasks.
• Support seasonal lawn and landscape maintenance and snow plowing.
• Operate and maintain power equipment for various maintenance operations.
