Job summary

Arizona State University, Tempe campus, is seeking HVAC Technicians I/II to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and testing of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. This role may require working at multiple ASU locations as needed, and entails on-call duties and rotating schedules.

Technicians will diagnose faults, interpret schematics, and document service activities while adhering to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and two years of experience in the field.
• Or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks (e.g., filter and belt replacement).
• Perform equipment diagnostics and repairs.
• Interpret HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Document work performed and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Support on-call duties and emergency response.
• Work under the guidance of senior staff.
• Repair and maintain HVAC/R systems including chillers, boilers, air handlers, compressors, and controls.
• Maintain accurate service logs and reports.
