Job summary

Arizona State University on the Tempe campus is seeking HVAC Technicians to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and overhauls of HVAC and refrigeration systems. The role may require travel to other campus locations and involves on-call duties.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent with 0–2 years HVAC experience, or an associate degree/technical experience; EPA certification within six months; ability to read schematics and work safely with refrigerants; rotating on-call

Qualifications

HVAC Technician I: basic HVAC knowledge and safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret diagrams/schematics for system troubleshooting.
HVAC Technician II: strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls; reading complex schematics/as-builts.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance tasks on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Perform equipment diagnostics and repairs; document work.
Interpret HVAC schematics and wiring diagrams; ensure safety compliance.
Support on-call duties and emergency response; work under supervision of senior staff.
