Job summary

Walmart in Round Rock, TX is seeking an HVAC technician to install and service HVAC systems across Walmart facilities. You will work on direct digital controls, energy management systems, and building automation, ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with managers and technicians. The role involves driving a company vehicle within the assigned region, completing work orders, and keeping accurate records.

Qualifications

• HVAC certification (voc/technical) and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field.
• Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, equipment, or related trades.
• Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerants.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI in last 5 years.
• No serious traffic violations in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Installs HVAC systems, related equipment, ductwork, and control components.
• Configures and calibrates direct digital controls and building automation systems.
• Interprets layout plans, schematics, and technical docs for installation and compliance.
• Diagnoses and resolves mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Performs preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
• Maintains documentation of maintenance, inspections, and parts usage.
• Communicates effectively with operators and partners about service needs and actions.
• Participates in on-call rotations approximately every 4–6 weeks.
