Job summary

HES is seeking an experienced HVAC technician in Danville, VA to operate, maintain, and repair heating and ventilation systems in educational facilities. The role requires strong troubleshooting, a Journeyman HVAC license, and five years of commercial HVAC experience.

You will perform preventive maintenance, complete work orders in CMMS, respond to alarms, and support other trades as needed. A valid driver’s license and BAS familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• 2-year HVAC training or apprenticeship.
• Journeyman HVAC license or state license required.
• Five years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with CMMS and BAS systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, and install HVAC heating and ventilating equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and diagnostics on systems.
• Complete work orders and document status in CMMS.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot building automation systems.
• On-call duties and support other trades as needed.
