Job summary

Jefferson County Facilities Management Division seeks a Building HVAC Technician to support building operations, evaluate equipment, perform repairs, and conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC and related systems.

The position requires at least 3 years of HVAC experience, a CFC Universal Class certification, and a Stationary Engineer License. This role includes after-hours on-call duties, a 4-day work week, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3 years of HVAC or related work experience.
• CFC Certification-Universal Class.
• Stationary Engineer License.
• DDC controls experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Observes and inspects HVAC equipment to determine status and perform repairs.
• Provides recommendations for equipment upgrades.
• Maintains and repairs commercial systems and related plumbing equipment.
• Generates cost estimates for repairs and updates records in databases.
• On-call after hours for emergencies such as snow removal or essential personnel situations.
