The Huntington Chamber in Indiana is seeking a skilled HVAC technician for a full-time, day-shift role. The position involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting facility operations.
It also includes on-call coverage and collaboration on lean initiatives. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with two years of technical training preferred; a Journeyman's Card in HVAC or an associate degree in HVAC is expected, along with EPA refrigerant
This is a full-time position with benefit eligibility; Monday to Friday and on-call coverage. The selected candidate will work 40 hours per week on the day shift.
Performs skilled duties primarily as a HVAC technician based on experience and certification. Also responsible for performing routine maintenance procedures, troubleshoots all equipment maintenance problems, assists in other areas of facilities and ground maintenance as directed. Assists with training and orientation of existing and new staff. Makes recommendations for process improvements, participates in lean initiatives. Participates in projects assigned to the department, performs all required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshoots problems with facility equipment involving, electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC failures. Maintain and services equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, doors/automatic openers and assists in the boiler plant operation. Maintains building finishes by performing drywall finishing, painting, staining and repair and application of wall coverings.
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Two-years technical training from a vocational or technical school, preferred.
Valid state driver's license is required. Requires a Journeyman's Card in HVAC or as Associates degree in HVAC; and EPA refrigerant certification.
Four-years combined experience as a maintenance tech and/or a commercial HVAC technician.
