Job summary

Comfort Air Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a full-time HVAC technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial systems across Southwest Colorado and nearby areas.

You will perform preventive maintenance, system tune-ups, and start-ups, traveling locally with coordinated dispatch support. We offer well-maintained tools, a safety-focused team, and opportunities for technical development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hands-on HVAC service experience diagnosing and repairing residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems
• EPA Certification is required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, system tune-ups, and equipment inspections
• Complete HVAC system start-ups and shut-downs
• Identify mechanical and electrical issues using industry-standard diagnostic procedures
• Explain repair recommendations and service findings clearly to customers
• Accurately document completed work, parts used, and time spent on each service call
• Follow all company safety procedures and EPA refrigerant handling regulations
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area
• Work closely with dispatch and office staff to complete scheduled service calls efficiently
• Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area

Your New Role

• Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment tune-ups, and component replacement

• Knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company's insurance requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an HVAC technical program or apprenticeship preferred

• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in varying weather conditions, and safely operate hand and power tools

• Ability to travel locally throughout the assigned service area
