Job summary

Comfort Air Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial systems.

You will perform preventive maintenance, tune-ups, and inspections, documenting work and parts used, and travel to customer locations within the service area. The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on experience, EPA certification, a valid driver’s license, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to read wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience diagnosing and repairing residential and/or light commercial systems.
• EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system tune-ups, and equipment inspections.
• Complete HVAC system start-ups and shut-downs.
• Identify mechanical and electrical issues using industry-standard diagnostic procedures.
• Explain repair recommendations and service findings clearly to customers.
• Accurately document completed work, parts used, and time spent on each service call.
• Follow all company safety procedures and EPA refrigerant handling regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work area.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area.

Your New Role

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems

• Perform preventive maintenance, system tune-ups, and equipment inspections

• Complete HVAC system start-ups and shut-downs

• Identify mechanical and electrical issues using industry-standard diagnostic procedures

• Explain repair recommendations and service findings clearly to customers

• Work closely with dispatch and office staff to complete scheduled service calls efficiently

• Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on HVAC service experience diagnosing and repairing residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems

• EPA Certification is required

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Experience performing preventive maintenance, equipment tune-ups, and component replacement

• Knowledge of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and equipment specifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets the company's insurance requirements.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Completion of an HVAC technical program or apprenticeship preferred

• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in varying weather conditions, and safely operate hand and power tools

• Ability to travel locally throughout the assigned service area
