Job summary

American Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. is seeking a skilled HVAC journeyman to join our Shawnee team. You will diagnose, service, and install residential and light commercial systems, with a focus on quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Oklahoma State HVAC Journeyman License required.
• HVAC certification required.
• 3 to 5 years of HVAC service and installation experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and perform preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Install and replace HVAC equipment per manufacturer specifications and local codes.
• Service standby generator systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and light electrical components related to HVAC equipment.
• Educate customers on repair and replacement options without high-pressure sales tactics.
• Build customer confidence through clear communication, technical expertise, and exceptional service.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and complete work orders.
• Follow company safety standards and industry best practices.
• Travel to customer locations throughout Shawnee, OK, and surrounding areas.

• Pay: $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience

• Full-time, year-round employment

• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

• Occasional overtime available

Your New Role

• Perform diagnostics, service, repair, and preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems

• Complete HVAC equipment installations and change-outs according to manufacturer specifications and local codes

• Service and install standby generator systems

• Troubleshoot mechanical and light electrical components related to HVAC equipment

• Identify opportunities to improve system performance and educate customers on repair and replacement options without high-pressure sales tactics

• Build customer confidence through clear communication, technical expertise, and exceptional service

• Maintain accurate service documentation and complete work orders

• Follow company safety standards and industry best practices

• Travel to customer locations throughout Shawnee, OK, and the surrounding areas

• Valid Oklahoma State HVAC Journeyman License

• HVAC certification required

• 3 to 5 years of HVAC service and installation experience

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities

• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions while delivering outstanding customer service

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred

• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move HVAC equipment and tools as required

Preferred

• Experience with standby generators

• Electrical experience

• Working knowledge of light electrical systems related to HVAC equipment

• Experience performing HVAC change-outs and equipment replacements
