Job summary

Benoist Brothers Supply is seeking a full-time HVAC Technical Support Specialist to assist customers, contractors, service technicians, and internal teams with questions on HVAC equipment, controls, and troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has hands-on HVAC knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and can explain technical information clearly. Some travel between branch locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; HVAC certification or related training preferred.
• Hands-on HVAC knowledge with ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Experience in HVAC service, technical support, distribution, or equipment sales preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, installation manuals, and product specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone, email, and in-person technical support for HVAC equipment and systems.
• Assist contractors and customers with troubleshooting heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.
• Review models, wiring diagrams, manuals, submittals, and specifications to advise.
• Support field technicians with diagnostic procedures and service recommendations.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex issues.
• Conduct technical training for contractors, dealers, and internal staff.
• Document interactions and resolutions in the appropriate system.
• Stay current on HVAC products, codes, refrigerants, and controls.
