Medxcel in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Facilities HVAC Technician to maintain and repair heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems at St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital.

You will apply specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management while ensuring safety and compliance with building regulations. This day shift, full-time role focuses on reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, follows safety protocols using PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel on work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, keeps tools/vehicles in good condition.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
• Leads training and department orientation and serves as SME for facilities stakeholders.

• Leads training and department orientation and serves as Subject Matter Expert for facilities stakeholders.

Qualifications

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Required:

• Universal EPA License
• 5 years ’ experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of trade school.
• Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.
