Job summary

Medxcel is seeking a facilities HVAC technician for the Wichita, KS location (Via Christi St. Teresa).

The role involves maintaining heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems in a healthcare facility, with after-hours emergency response and adherence to safety protocols. Requires EPA Certification (level II preferred), a high school diploma or trade school credential, and at least 3 years of related experience; a combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

  • EPA Certification (level II preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of trade school.
  • 3 years of related experience.
  • Other equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs all heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
  • Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
  • Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and strictly follows safety protocols using PPE.
  • Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools and vehicles in safe operating condition.
  • Dedicates 20% of the role to participating in meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.

License:
