Job summary

Medxcel in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair critical building systems at St. Vincent's Indianapolis Hospital. This role focuses on heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and related energy management.

You will work with the Facilities team, respond to emergencies, follow safety protocols, and contribute to cost-effective operations while supporting patient care.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Level II preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of trade school
• 3 years of related experience
• One or more equivalent education/experience combinations

Responsibilities

• Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and ice-making systems.
• Applies specialized knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, water reheat systems, and energy management systems.
• Responds to after-hours emergencies, manages power outage procedures, and follows safety protocols using PPE.
• Coordinates with personnel regarding work orders, ensures compliance with building and safety regulations, and keeps tools and vehicles safe.
• Dedicates 20% of the role to meetings, training workshops, and assisting with special projects as assigned.
