Job summary

Medxcel in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs at St. Vincent's Riverside Medical Center. You will inspect HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and support facility operations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience in facilities maintenance.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education or experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine inspections, testing, and maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and facility structures.
• Fixes or replaces faulty mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and boiler equipment, including clearing obstructed lines and repairing leaking fixtures.
• Performs daily checks and repairs on nurse call systems, medical gas outlets, TVs, and patient transport gear (wheelchairs).
• Manages receipt, distribution, and relocation of facility materials, furniture, equipment, and files between storage and active locations.
• Follows standard precautions using PPE and completes safety checks to ensure compliance with regulatory codes.
