Job summary

Bechtel is constructing a semiconductor manufacturing facility in New Albany, Ohio. The HVAC Subcontract Technical Representative will oversee HVAC and ductwork subcontracts, ensuring design, fabrication, installation, testing, commissioning, and turnover meet project specs and safety standards.

He/she will support the subcontractor with quality control, material take-offs, design change coordination, and issue resolution to help meet cost and schedule targets on the Cardinal project.

Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of SMACA, MFMA standards and guidelines.
• Ability to read and understand Isometrics, P&IDs, orthographics, plans and other design drawings.
• Understanding of Bechtel work processes and standard procedures is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry codes and standards. Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Willingness to conduct field inspections and site walk-downs with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical and field coordination liaison between the project team and subcontractors.
• Coordinate daily subcontractor activities; provide technical oversight and support quality inspections and testing.
• Manage document and submittal processes, monitor progress and risks, communicate safety/quality/schedule concerns to project leadership.
