Job summary

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Start Up Technician I (Apprentice) to install and commission HVAC systems, perform basic troubleshooting, and calibrate equipment to ensure proper operation and safety standards.

This full-time, hourly role offers overtime and performance bonuses across Massachusetts, with warehouses in Sutton, Springfield, and more. You will work with installation teams to startup systems, test units, document service activities, and communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of HVAC training program or apprenticeship encouraged.
• EPA 608 Certification required for refrigerant handling.
• NATE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• System Start-Up, Testing, and Commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Test units to manufacturer specs and local codes; troubleshoot performance issues.
• Document service activities and equipment settings for future reference.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to meet timelines.
• Follow safety guidelines and conduct safety checks during service.
