HomeWorks Energy is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to install and maintain HVAC systems, perform start-up, testing, and commissioning, and ensure safe, efficient operation. The role includes thorough documentation, customer communication, and collaboration with installation teams across Massachusetts.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in HVAC, EPA 608, and English fluency. The position offers full-time hours with overtime, paid training, and strong growth opportunities within the HVAC team.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification is required.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC with a focus on start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and control systems.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and system start-up, including cleaning and calibration per manufacturer specs.
• Conduct system tests to ensure proper operation and identify issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC unit problems using diagnostic tools.
• Commission systems ensuring components and controls are properly integrated.
• Explain operation and maintenance procedures to customers and document activities.
• Collaborate with installation teams and follow safety guidelines.
• Shadow junior technicians and contribute to training.
