Job summary

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. seeks an HVAC Start Up Technician (Apprentice) to install and commission HVAC systems, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure safe, efficient operation before clients take ownership.

The role offers full-time hours with overtime eligibility and bonuses, with numerous MA locations including Whitman and surrounding towns. Earn $24-$25 per hour, with strong growth toward Service Tech I/II and Lead roles.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification required.
• NATE certification is a plus.
• 1+ year hands-on HVAC experience, focusing on start-up/commissioning/installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and controls.
• Proficiency in reading, writing and communicating in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues using diagnostic tools.
• Explain system operation and maintenance procedures to customers.
• Document service activities and update system records.
• Collaborate with installation teams and project managers to meet schedules.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment.
