Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Product Support Engineer- Building Services to provide technical and marketing support for our HVAC services. This on-site role involves traveling to sales offices and customer sites, developing product narratives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable, energy-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant industry work experience is required.
• 2+ years of engineering related work experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Ability to travel independently up to 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and marketing/sales support to the service sales field organization via phone/email, direct customer interaction, pricing, quotes, new product development, marketing content, and customer visits.
• Travel to sales offices, corporate events, and customer sites to support Trane Service, including presentations and tradeshow support.
• Establish product lines' selling story and ensure readiness across field, BU functions, and sales teams.
• Understand competitors' products/strategies and communicate insights to field and teams.
• Participate in cross-functional teams for creative thinking, decision making, and problem solving.
• Price projects and assist in bid strategies.
• Provide marketing/technical/systems/applications support to peers, sales organization, and external customers.
• Lead or participate in projects related to new product development and sales tools improvement.
• Support a professional field/customer-focused environment with performance metrics.
• Assist service sales with configuring equipment and developing software requirements.
• Train new service sales engineers via the Trane Graduate Training Program.
