This role emphasizes lead generation, cold calling, presentations, and closing long sales cycles on service agreements.

Qualified candidates will have 4+ years of B2B outside sales, 5+ years in new business development, and a hunter approach selling to senior facility leaders and end users.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years B2B outside sales experience selling service contracts or agreements.
• Minimum 5 years new business development experience.
• Selling to end users – CEOs, Directors, building owners.
• Must be a hunter, not account management; generate your own leads.
• Experience with complex, longer sales cycles (months to a year+).
• Selling annual and multi-year service/maintenance agreements to commercial/industrial facilities.
• Experience selling services, not just projects.
• Need to be polished, professional, driven and tenacious.

Job description

My client is a top notch Building Automation and HVAC Mechanical Contractor. They are actively seeking HVAC Services Sales Account Representatives for a couple of territories.

• Experience: Minimum 4 years Business-to-Business outside sales experience selling service contracts or agreements, Minimum 5 years new business development experience
• Potential to move into Sales Manager role
• B2B sales experience primarily, selling to end users (not other contractors) - they’re selling to very high-level professional decision makers: often CEOs, Directors, Boards, building owners.
• Experience selling services (not just projects)
• Must be a Hunter - They shouldn’t be someone who’s used to account management or working from a book of business, portfolio of clients, dialers, client lists. They will be seeking out their own leads.
• Experience with complex, longer-term sales cycles (not a transactional sale) - from lead generation, cold calls, to first appointments, to presentations, objection handling, proposals, and closing. Our average sales cycle is about 3 months but can be over a year from initial contact.
• Insurance, route sales, anything retail is too transactional
• Need to be polished, professional, driven, tenacious
• Day to day:
• Initially way more cold calling involved (think 50 dials/day), less once you gain traction
