Service Experts Heating & AC LLC in Champaign, IL is seeking an HVAC technician to diagnose and service residential and light commercial systems. You will communicate with customers, resolve issues, promote services, and maintain equipment and paperwork with precision.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED with HVAC training and 2+ years of experience, plus EPA safety certifications. Valid driver’s license and ability to work varied hours are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with HVAC training and 2+ years’ experience in HVAC.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant and duct systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and/or light commercial service and maintenance calls under supervision.
• Diagnose and resolve customer problems in a courteous, timely manner.
• Service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment and accessories.
• Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Deliver parts and equipment needed for service work.
• Record all required information on a handheld device and complete paperwork neatly.
• Collect payment from customers.
• Coordinate with dispatch to report status and availability.
• Promote products and services to customers and identify replacement leads.
• Maintain company property, vehicles, and tools in good condition.
• Represent the company professionally and adhere to procedures.
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance.
