Job summary

MSS Solutions, LLC is hiring a Service Technician – HVAC to support senior technicians and perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment in North Carolina. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a range of systems, log equipment data, and ensure accurate documentation while coordinating with the team and customers.

The role demands strong knowledge of HVAC equipment up to 25 tons, the ability to interpret schematics, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Universal EPA certification is required.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex high and low-voltage electrical systems and read wiring schematics.
• Thorough understanding of large HVAC equipment (25 tons+), SWUD, VRF, air handlers, chillers, VFDs.
• Ability to communicate with customers and explain technical issues in layman terms.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Physical demands include heavy lifting and extended standing/walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior HVAC technicians in daily tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance contracts.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain light commercial HVAC equipment.
• Replace belts/filters and identify anomalies in HVAC equipment.
• Log equipment data and upload to project management systems.
• Communicate with team leads, staff, Sales, and customers.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
