Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc is seeking motivated Apprentices to train on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls at client sites. You’ll participate in training through the Service Technical Academy, develop troubleshooting skills, and learn to provide effective solutions to building inefficiencies.

Attendance at required union training in year one is expected, with guidance from mentors and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
1+ years of industry experience or experience servicing mechanical systems in HVAC.
General knowledge includes mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.

Responsibilities

Apprentices will be trained and will perform on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites.
Apprentices will participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy for advancement opportunities.
Through coaching and mentorship, apprentices will develop skills to troubleshoot technical issues and customer needs.
You will keep Johnson Controls and customers advised of job progress and issues as needed.
