Rite Way Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking an HVAC Service Technician for full-time work. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems for commercial and residential customers, traveling to job sites and coordinating with dispatch for schedule adherence.

Formación

• Minimum of one year experience or education/training in HVAC service installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to read blueprints, plans, and manuals.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work independently within a team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential and commercial customers.
• Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; document findings.
• Travel to job sites in service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedule.
• Be available for on-call shifts, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and safety gear; submit vehicle inspection forms.
• Process invoices and collect payments at job completion; obtain customer signature.
• Document installed equipment with make/model/serial numbers and photos.
• Identify opportunities for additional services or maintenance contracts.
• Participate in required trainings and stay updated on procedures.

Job Summary

The HVAC Service Technician diagnoses and repairs heating and cooling systems and lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions by providing an extraordinary customer experience.

Reports To

Director of Field Service

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and residential customers. Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
• Be available to work nights or weekends, as scheduled or as needed, to service needs of our customers.
• Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
• Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Understand company pricing and generate appropriate customer invoice at job site. Electronically process credit card payments. Obtain customer signature at completion of job. Obtain correct customer information including email address.
• Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
• Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations, and explain fully to customer what the issue is and what is needed to correct.
• Participate in any paid training Rite Way determines relevant to your HVAC technician role. These trainings may or may not be during normal work hours.
• Identify and report to Service Manager potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).

Required Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience

• Minimum of one-year experience, or education/training in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting and correcting diverse HVAC service issues.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, lower, push, and pull objects of up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Must be able to continually stand, walk, climb, ascend/descend ladders, bend, stoop, crawl, and crouch, frequently in tight spaces, for extended periods of time, in indoor and outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to continually use hands/fingers to handle, feel, utilize tools, and operate machinery.

Work Environment & Conditions

• Field environment including interior and exterior of customers' residential properties. May require exposure to weather conditions, dusts, and mists that may be present while working outdoors. Exposure to chemicals may occur. Use of personal protective equipment including but not limited to safety-footwear, goggles, gloves, shield, mask or respirator, and hardhats may be required.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and possess a valid driver license and insurable driving history.
• Must pass background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4PM. Periodic nights, weekends, and overtime hours will be required at peak times.
