Job summary

Axsom Air of LA in Louisiana is seeking an HVAC Service Technician who combines technical HVAC expertise with proactive sales to help customers improve energy efficiency. Your role includes diagnosing and repairing systems, presenting upgrades or maintenance options, and closing service opportunities while delivering outstanding customer service.

This full-time position requires a High School diploma or GED, EPA certification, and 2+ years of HVAC field experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company protocols.
• Engage customers to discuss improvements, upgrades, or repairs beneficial long term.
• Identify and present HVAC product and service recommendations; close sales for upgrades, new equipment, PM plans.
• Establish rapport and trust, handle objections, and provide clear advice.
• Generate new business opportunities through referrals and follow-ups on job opportunities.
• Work with dispatch and sales teams for scheduling and follow-up.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals while maintaining high standards of technical service.

As anHVAC Service Technicianyou will play a key role in providing exceptional service while alsoidentifyingand recommending HVAC solutions that improve the performance and energy efficiency of our customers' systems. This is not your typical technician role—it'sabout offering value-driven solutions, ensuring customers’ systems run at peak performance, and closing sales that make sense for the customer’s needs.

You'llcombine your HVACexpertisewith sales techniques toidentifyopportunities for service upgrades, system replacements, and other solutions that enhance the overall customer experience. Your goal? To deliver excellent service while building long-lasting relationships and growing the business.

Essential Job Functions

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, andmaintainHVAC systems
• Ensure all workcomplies withindustry standards and company protocols
• Engage customers in meaningful conversations about their HVAC systems, educating them on potential improvements, upgrades, or repairs that willbenefitthemin the long run
• Identifyand present HVAC product and service recommendations based on customer needs and system analysis. Close sales for system upgrades, new equipment installations, and preventative maintenance plans.
• Establish rapport and trust with customers by offering tailored solutions, handling objections with professionalism, and providing clear, honest advice.
• Generate new business opportunities through customer referrals, follow-ups, and actively seeking potential service or upgrade opportunities while on the job.
• Work closely with our dispatch and sales teams to ensuretimelyscheduling and seamless follow-up on leads or job opportunities.
• Meet and exceed personal sales goals whilemaintaininghigh standardsof technical service.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• EPA
• 2+ years of HVAC Service experience
• 2+ years of proven success in selling direct to homeowners via in-home presentation
• Strong sales, customer service, and closing skills
• Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills
• Assertive and confident personality
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and makeappropriate decisions
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks accurately
• Commitment to company values
• Ability to climb into and through attics and crawl spaces
• Ability to work outside and in extreme temperatures
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills
• Reliable & punctual attendance
• Ability to be flexible in working a variable schedule including evenings and rotational weekends
• Fluent ability to speak, read, and write in the English language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Service Titan experience

Compensation & Hours

• Pay: Hourly ($25-$35) + Commissions
• Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible start and end times depending on business needs)
• Days: Monday - Friday with occasional weekends
