Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service residential and light commercial equipment within a 50-mile radius of Jefferson City, MO. You will diagnose, repair, and communicate technical details clearly to clients, operating with a take-home van and company tools.

Qualified candidates hold EPA Universal and OSHA 10 certifications, a valid license, and own hand tools; 4x10s or 5x8s schedules may apply with on-call rotation every third week as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Active EPA Universal certification and OSHA 10 certification.
• Proven troubleshooting ability across residential and light commercial equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; takes-home van eligibility.
• Personal hand tools and gauges, cordless power tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repairs: Troubleshoot, service, and repair residential (70%) and light commercial (30%, RTUs up to 30 tons) HVAC equipment.
• System Range: Work across furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, geothermal units, gas fireplaces, and rooftop units (no water heaters or ductwork required).
• Customer Communication: Explain completed repairs and technical details directly to homeowners and commercial clients in a clear, professional manner.
• Field Operations: Work independently across a 50-mile service radius around Jefferson City, using cloud-based mobile CRM software to log job details.

Job description

Title, Location, Schedule & Pay

• Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

• Location: Jefferson City, MO (Servicing a ~50-mile radius)

• Schedule: Choice of 4x10s (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or 5x8s (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM).

• On-Call Expectation: Rotational 24/7 on-call shift (currently every 3rd week; rotation frequency decreases as the team grows).

• Pay: $26.00 – $35.00 per hour (Hourly/non-exempt, paid weekly on Fridays; starting rate negotiable based on experience).
