Job summary

EES Facility Services is seeking an HVAC Service Supervisor in Dayton, OH to lead a team of apprentices and technicians. You will manage service calls, coordinate with the Construction Supervisor on projects, oversee preventive maintenance, and support diagnostics, repairs and warranty work.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience, strong people management skills, and the ability to travel up to 75% with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Graduated from an HVAC training program.
• Minimum 7+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating procedures.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of people.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and local codes.
• PC skills including email, records, databases, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50–75%.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house training and coordinate external training as needed.
• Monitor field performance and ensure high safety and quality standards.
• Evaluate performance and tailor compensation considerations as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge on HVAC products and trends.
• Develop a successor and cover duties of the Service Operations Manager when absent.
• Assist in hiring and disciplinary actions to maintain operations.
• Resolve service or warranty issues with hands-on supervision.
• Allocate tools, equipment and vehicles and safeguard assets.
• Foster teamwork within the department and across the company.
• Engage in field work as workload requires.
• Coordinate initial phase of service calls and projects, including scheduling and materials.
• Assist Lead Techs during service phases and monitor site progress.
• Coordinate project close-out, inspections and post-job reviews.
• Assess skill levels and manage training plans for team members.
• Provide hands-on training in HVAC service, diagnostics and repair.
• Estimate labor, materials and equipment for service projects.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with standards and codes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and implement timely solutions.
