Job summary

Environmental Engineering Systems (EES Facility) is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II to service commercial and industrial clients in Western–Southwestern Ohio. Based in Dayton, you will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of ventilation and air conditioning systems with a focus on reliability and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of Commercial HVAC experience, a local HVAC training background, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
• Sheet metal work or refrigeration experience required; Vocational school or trade apprenticeships preferred.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel 85-90% in company vehicle.
• Graduated from a local HVAC training program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC field.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems for industrial and commercial clients.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment and associated electrical systems.
• Perform start-up, balancing, and commissioning on equipment.
• Identify maintenance risks on equipment and diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Clean, adjust, and repair systems, including performing warranty services.
• Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency repairs.
• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to Skilled Trade 1 and apprentices.
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complete accurate and timely paperwork, notes, and time entries into work orders.
• Assist customers with queries and perform other assigned duties.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
• 7:30 AM – 5 PM

What you need to succeed:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
• Sheet metal work or refrigeration experience required; Vocational school or trade apprenticeships preferred.
• Valid driver’s license: ability to travel 85-90% of the time in a company vehicle.
• Graduated from a local HVAC training program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Commercial HVAC field.
• Ability to independently perform routine maintenance and service larger HVAC equipment.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems, with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
