Job summary

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our Winchester, VA service operations. You will supervise dispatchers, parts personnel, and service technicians while ensuring round-the-clock response and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be organized, customer-focused, and capable of managing scheduling, inventory, training, and daily service activities. Engineering knowledge and prior supervision experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in HVAC service or a related field.
• Engineering knowledge gained through a combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience supervising service technicians or service operations preferred.
• Strong decision-making, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company driver qualification requirements.
• Dependable with regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise service technicians, dispatchers, and parts personnel.
• Maintain staffing and scheduling for 24/7 service response.
• Plan workloads and assign work efficiently.
• Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development.
• Develop technical training programs for service technicians.
• Evaluate technician skills and identify training needs.
• Review service agreements to ensure inspections and requirements are completed.
• Review timesheets, shop time, callbacks, and follow-up items.
• Prepare customer proposals and time-and-material quotes.
• Order parts, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain truck stock and refrigerant records.
• Coordinate service schedules with other internal teams.
• Provide backup dispatching support.
• Maintain regular customer contact to support satisfaction and retention.
• Assist with service agreement sales and other service department sales efforts.
• Ensure warranty parts are properly documented and returned.
• Maintain and enforce safe work procedures.
• Develop annual truck and tool purchasing plans.
