Job summary

Samm's Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking an HVAC Service Manager to lead our elite service team in Plano, TX. This role oversees daily operations, mentors technicians, and drives department profitability while maintaining top-tier customer satisfaction.

You will recruit, train, and coach staff, ensure access to tools and information, and collaborate on safety, quality, and service excellence. EPA Universal and TDLR registration are required.

Qualifications

• EPA Universal certification required at hire.
• TDLR registration required.
• Proven HVAC technician with prior lead tech, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Ability to train, coach, and develop technical staff.
• Strong soft skills when working with clientele and resolving concerns.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the service department to deliver high performance and customer focus.
• Ensure technicians have parts, tools, and information needed to complete their work efficiently.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new technicians; train both new hires and existing staff.
• Host regular tech meetings and trainings on techniques, products, and safety.
• Conduct weekly ride-alongs and coaching sessions to drive technician growth.
• Address customer complaints directly with a professional, solutions-focused approach.
• Review invoices for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Provide hands-on technical support for complex diagnostics or repairs.
