Job summary

Townsend Energy in Manchester, NH is seeking an HVAC Service - Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, service and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. You will handle AC equipment, heat pumps, boilers, and fuel types, while ensuring high-quality customer care.

The ideal candidate has EPA Universal certification, NH/MA licensing is desirable, and a willingness to engage in cross-training and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Residential HVAC service experience required.
• AC service experience preferred.
• Annual routine maintenance experience required.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience advising customers on repair/replacement options.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC equipment.
• Perform AC service, repair and maintenance.
• Work with oil, propane, natural gas, and electric HVAC systems.
• Install and service heat pumps, boilers, and ductless systems.
• Provide excellent customer service and educate homeowners on systems and products.

Job description

HVAC Service - Maintenance Technician | $32.00 to $50.00 per hour, depending on experience and shift

Pay Range:

• 1st Shift | $32.00 to $45.00 + per hour, depending on individuals' capabilities
• 2nd Shift | $38.00 - $50.00 per hour | must have AC, oil & propane experience
• Weekends Only | $32.00 - $40.00 per hour, depending on individuals' capabilities

Work Schedule:

• 1st Shift | 7:30am - 4:00pm | Monday to Friday
• 2nd Shift | 3:00pm - 11:00pm | Monday to Friday
• Weekends Only | 7:00am - 5:00pm | Saturday & Sunday

Location: Manchester, Portsmouth, Somersworth NH

Job Duties:

• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, repair, and maintenance of residential and light commercial HVAC equipment
• AC service, repair, and maintenacne
• Working with oil, propane, natural gas, and electric HVAC systems
• Propane and electric heating/air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ductless systems, and boilers
• Providing excellent customer service
• Consulting with and educating homeowners on systems and products
• Ability to contact tech support with diagnostic questions
• Daily use of tablet

• EPA Universal Certification

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
• Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• MA or NH Gas Licensed - Desired, training provided
• MA or NH Oil License - Desired, training provided
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certificate from a HVAC Technical School - Desired
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
