Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas, the world's largest HVAC company, is seeking a Service Coordinator for our Washington DC area office. This role coordinates technician scheduling, communicates with customers, and supports billing and warranty processes, contributing to efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The position requires coordinating with various teams, managing work orders in Astea Alliance, and maintaining professional customer contact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) service field.
• Experience with Astea Alliance or other service tracking software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch Technicians for jobs (start-ups/repairs, warranty, maintenance).
• Handle customer inquiries and route technical questions to the right resource.
• Track time and attendance for Technicians.
• Coordinate start-ups and communicate scheduling with customers.

Location: In office in Bowie, Maryland

What You Will Do

• Work with the Technician Supervisor and/or Operations, Service Center, or District Manager in scheduling and dispatching of Technicians for jobs (start-ups/repairs, warranty, maintenance)
• Handle customer inquiries and routes questions of technical nature to the appropriate resource
• Track of time and attendance for Technicians
• Coordinate job start-ups and maintain communication with customer regarding scheduling for the start-up and follow-up on jobs in progress/completed
• Invoice and bill customers
• Perform local office AP/AR functions. Follow up with customer to ensure that payment has been received
• Coordinate warranty administration process. Order parts and tracks shipments.
• Answer telephones and greets customers. Maintain professional and courteous customer contact.
• Enter all information and maintains information into Astea Alliance including work orders, new customer information, and technician hours for billing purposes
• Ensure timely close-out on all work orders and that all associated paperwork (P.O., etc.) is received and filed with the proper job
• Gather local prevailing wage rate and completing sending hours worked by Technicians on those PW jobs to Human Resources
• Organize and coordinates inventory processes.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors Degree (preferred)
• 2+ years related experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) service field
• Experience in Boiler or installation service (preferred)
• Experience with Astea Alliance or other service tracking software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $28.41 - $45.11 in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
