Job summary

Daikin Applied in the Washington DC area is seeking a Service Coordinator who will schedule technicians for start-ups, repairs and maintenance, route technical inquiries, and manage billing workflows. The role includes tracking technician hours, coordinating start-ups with customers, and ensuring paperwork and parts shipments are properly handled.

The position requires strong communication, hands-on experience with service tracking systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 2+ years experience in MEP service field.
• Experience with Astea Alliance or service tracking software.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch Technicians for jobs (start-ups/repairs/warranty/maintenance).
• Handle customer inquiries and route technical questions to the right resource.
• Track time and attendance for Technicians.
• Coordinate job start-ups and communicate with customers about scheduling.
• Invoice and bill customers.
• Perform local office AP/AR functions and follow up on payments.
• Coordinate warranty administration and track parts shipments.
• Answer phones and greet customers with professional contact.
• Enter information into Astea Alliance for billing and work orders.
• Ensure timely close-out of work orders and proper paperwork receipt.
• Gather local wage data and submit PW hours to HR.
• Organize and coordinate inventory processes.

Location: In office in Bowie, Maryland

What you will do:

• Work with the Technician Supervisor and/or Operations, Service Center, or District Manager in scheduling and dispatching of Technicians for jobs (start-ups/repairs, warranty, maintenance)
• Handle customer inquiries and route questions of technical nature to the appropriate resource
• Track time and attendance for Technicians
• Coordinate job start-ups and maintain communication with customer regarding scheduling for the start-up and follow-up on jobs in progress/completed
• Invoice and bill customers
• Perform local office AP/AR functions. Follow up with customer to ensure that payment has been received
• Coordinate warranty administration process. Order parts and track shipments.
• Answer telephones and greet customers. Maintain professional and courteous customer contact.
• Enter all information and maintain information into Astea Alliance including work orders, new customer information, and technician hours for billing purposes
• Ensure timely close-out on all work orders and that all associated paperwork (P.O., etc.) is received and filed with the proper job
• Gather local prevailing wage rate and complete sending hours worked by Technicians on those PW jobs to Human Resources
• Organize and coordinate inventory processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelors Degree (preferred)
• 2+ years related experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) service field
• Experience in Boiler or installation service (preferred)
• Experience with Astea Alliance or other service tracking software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

The typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $28.41 - $45.11 in Maryland. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
