Job summary

MAA Cypress Cove in Charleston, SC is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician who prides themselves on high standards and problem solving. You’ll perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order, diagnosing and fixing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification is required or must be obtained within 90 days. A valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and facilities in good working order.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units.
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete.
