• Ensure accounts are serviced and maintained to company standards.
• Recognize customers’ buying patterns and promote new product lines.

Meyer Distributing is looking for a Sales Account Manager – HVAC to join our Jasper team.

Meyer Distributing is a wholesale distributor for automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more, with over 85 locations across the country. Meyer Logistics serves as the transportation backbone with a fleet of 500+ trucks. Join our team to be on the cutting edge of a new line of business.

Preferred Experience

• HVAC experience required.
• Entry-level salespeople with HVAC experience and solid customer service experience encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Solid background in the HVAC industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills.
• Ability to communicate on the phone 90 percent or more of shift.
• Understanding of customer needs and anticipation of future requirements.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
• Planning, organizing, and follow-up skills.
• Extensive computer use; experience with Microsoft preferred.
• Excellent negotiating abilities.

Duties

• Handle a high volume of telephone calls per day, working with existing and new potential customers, taking orders and closing sales.
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls.
• Process all calls with efficiency and accuracy; keep digital notes and verify orders before processing into the computer system.
• Ensure accounts are serviced and maintained to company standards.
• Recognize customers’ buying patterns and promote possible new product lines.
• Contact key accounts regularly; routinely contact prospects to build sales and new customers; develop and maintain professional relationships.
• Investigate and resolve all customer issues professionally and reasonably, delivering acceptable conclusions for both company and customer.
• Meet or exceed sales goals.
• Stay current on product knowledge and trends.
• Some travel possible as directed by supervisor.
